Editorial & affiliate policy

IngredientScope may earn revenue from advertising or affiliate links. When commercial links or paid placements are used, they will be clearly identified and will not determine the evidence assessment or product-comparison criteria.

How affiliate links work

If a reader follows a marked affiliate link and makes a purchase, IngredientScope may receive a commission. The disclosure will appear close to the relevant commercial link. Products can also be included without an affiliate link.

Editorial selection comes first

Products and retailers are selected for relevance to the question, availability to the intended European audience and the usefulness of the comparison. Commission availability is not a quality criterion and does not guarantee inclusion.

Comparison criteria

  • ingredient form and clearly identified strain where relevant
  • amount per daily serving and label clarity
  • other relevant ingredients and practical use
  • pack size and number of labelled servings
  • availability, storage and geographic limitations

IngredientScope compares verifiable characteristics. It does not assign overall scores or treat a higher dose as inherently better. Current prices are left to the retailer because they can change frequently.

What we will label

  • Affiliate link when a purchase may generate commission
  • Advertisement for paid placements
  • Sponsored for paid editorial collaborations

Sponsored content will not be presented as an independent ranking.

No pay-to-win rankings

Payment does not buy a better evidence assessment, a hidden endorsement or the removal of disadvantages. Material limitations, conflicts of interest and the date of a comparison should remain visible.

Market classification check

Before a product is included in a comparison or given a commercial link, IngredientScope checks how that specific product is classified in the intended country. Medicines are excluded from food-supplement affiliate comparisons. Medical devices and foods for special medical purposes are not mixed into a food-supplement table; if covered, they must appear separately and be clearly labelled. Because classification can differ between countries and change over time, it is checked again before publication and before an affiliate link goes live.

Corrections and commercial relationships

No retailer is presented as an IngredientScope partner unless a relationship actually exists. Prices, stock and terms can change after publication. Material errors are corrected when identified, and commercial relationships do not override editorial criteria.

Transparency: Affiliate relationships, if active, are identified close to relevant commercial links. Product inclusion is not guaranteed by commission availability.
